Vegetarian Can Weaken The Bone?

Vegetarian or people who only consume vegetables food, known have the bones that weak when compared to the meat eater. It is according to the team of researchers from Australia and Vietnam. In a study that focuses on bone health and eating patterns of 27,000 people and known that bone density of the vegetarian five percent lower compared with the group of meat eater.

“The bone density of people who consume meat and ovolactovegetarian group (people who avoid meat and sea food but still eat eggs and cow products derived) are not much different,” said Tuan Nguyen, the head of the researchers.

But the difference is more emphatic on the vegan group, that is not consuming all animal products from the pattern eat. Bone density of this group is six percent weaker.

Although the difference is not clinically significant but according to Nguyen, the number of vegetarian and osteoporosis cases make this topic worthy to be inspected further.
