The Food Allergies Prevention

Until now, the best way to fight allergies is avoid the trigger. But, the recent studies show that healthy eating patterns can help us against allergies. Nutrition diet will increase the body’s immune system and helps the body fight respiratory channels infections that trigger allergies.

The relationship between food and the body’s immunity against allergy initially was examined in the area of Crete Island, Greece. There are only a few people who suffer interference due to respiratory allergies. Once examined, it appeared that residents in the island since child habitually eat fruit, vegetables, fish, and olive oil.

Mediterranean diet of the Crete’s people is rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants will work to protect cells from free radicals. In a study reported in the Thorax journal, the researchers also suggested consumption of margarine will increase the risk of allergy and cough. This is because margarine is made from bad fat.

If you include people who have allergic history, do not forget to include these foods in your daily menu.

Beans
Beans are rich in vitamin E and magnesium. Research showed magnesium improve tuberculosis function and against cough due to asthma.

Apple, Orange, and Tomato
Three fruits is the best antioxidants sources, that is vitamin C. Research showed the three fruits make Crete’s people are free from asthma and allergies. This is important because half of people with asthma also have allergies.

Grape
Red grape’s skin, in general, contains antioxidants and resveratrol that can reduce inflammation in the body.

Fish
Omega-3 or fatty acid DHA and EPA that is found in cold water fish, seaweed, and supplements, known can reduce inflammation in the body. According to researchers from the American Paediatrician, the benefit is to help the body fight allergies, especially in children. So, do not be afraid to consume salmon, sardine, mackerel, or herring.

Pro biotic
Research that was conducted by Kaarina Kukkonen that has published in the Pediatrics journal said pro biotic and pre biotic can increase the body’s immune children in infancy and protect the baby from disease of respiratory infection. Increasingly good microbes in the body will improve the immunity to fight allergies.
