Soybeans, Trigger or Prevent Cancer?
Actually there are many things that have not been revealed about the benefits of soy. So far, the evidence presented has been found mostly positive sides. For example, Japanese women who eat lots of soy-based foods have a very small risk of breast cancer: 20% compared to women from the United States.
In addition, the review of 18 studies conducted in 2006 and published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute showed a close relationship between soy intakes with a reduced risk of breast cancer.
Soybeans contain isoflavones or estrogens derived from plants, which are considered by some researchers can reduce the risk of breast cancer, because it can bind estrogens receptors in the body decreases.
Soybean could prove the greatest protection to women who consume it regularly since before puberty. If you wish to reproduce soy intake in the daily menu, choose tofu, soy milk, and intact edamame, rather than form the processed food. Also, avoid supplements containing soy, because it can contain isoflavones that can be harmful to health.
