Negative Effects of Coffee for Body

Today’s society has been transformed into a society consuming caffeine. More than half of adults in the United States drink coffee every day. The average consumption of three cups of coffee reaches – nine ounces per day. Plus the consumption of tea, chocolate and a variety of drugs and foods containing caffeine, it is not surprising that people often ask how much caffeine in a day?

Caffeine is an alkaloid that stimulate muscles and central nervous system and to absorb and distribute rapidly throughout the body. After drinking the coffee, usually felt increased alertness and energy, improve your mood and enhance sports performance.

Even so, there are some weaknesses due to excessive coffee consumption, including abdominal pain, difficulty sleeping (insomnia), nervousness, headaches, caffeine dependence and osteoporosis.

Dehydration
Excessive consumption of coffee can cause dehydration. Caffeine affects the kidneys work that serves as a diuretic, by increasing urine production and reduces body fluids. Various studies have shown links between lacks of liquids with high levels of caffeine consumption above 600 milligrams per day (six-seven glasses per day). Diuretic effect different indications in each individual, but generally safe caffeine consumption as much as 300 milligrams or two to three glasses per day.

Osteoporosis
Other effects excessive caffeine consumption affects bone health. Because caffeine increases urine production which contains calcium as one of the main components. Calcium plays an important role to maintain bone density and prevent osteoporosis. Osteoporosis condition showed that bone mass reduction in fracture-prone. The evidence shows consumption of caffeine and caffeinated beverages increase the amount of calcium lost from the body.

Prevent osteoporosis is done by adding the milk in a cup of tea or coffee. Beverages containing milk or milk soda will maintain bone mass. There are some health conditions should avoid the intake of caffeine such as iron deficiency, cardiac arrhythmia, kidney stones, and osteoporosis.
