<p>Three types of supplements such as vitamin C, calcium and iron can cause harmful effects if taken in high doses even for a short period and symptoms may disappear when consumption is stopped immediately.</p>
<p>&#8220;In many cases we can get enough nutrients from a balanced diet, but many people who choose to consume supplements.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Taking high-dose supplements over a long enough period can be dangerous,&#8221; said Sir John Krebs, director of the FSA.</p>
<p>FSA said the size of vitamin C 1000 mg, 1500 mg calcium and 17 mg of iron per day is the amount that can cause stomach upset or diarrhea in some people though these symptoms disappear as soon as discontinued consumption.</p>
<p>FSA also advised to consume vitamin B6 did not exceed 10 mg per day unless your doctor prescribed.</p>
<p>Beta-carotene anti-oxidant, found in fruits and vegetables are colored orange or yellow will be able to create effects that are harmful to the smoker when consumed for long time period.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dr. IR Erica B Laconi, MS, Lecturer of Technology and Industry of Foods, said with according to data issued by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2007, milk consumption is 6 liters per capita per year, Malaysia 20 liters per capita per year, India 45 liters per year , and Vietnam more than 10 liters per capita per year.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Erica, the low consumption of milk is not because of low income per capita, but low awareness of the importance of milk. &#8220;Parents, especially fathers, are more likely to buy cigarettes than milk for their children,&#8221; said Erica.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If it continues, Erica fear if there is lost generation that result in low quality of Indonesian human resources. Each person should consume at least one glass of milk a day, it&#8217;s very helpful. More than will be better. Do not be afraid of fat because milk does not make fat.</p>
